For those of you who don’t know me, I am a HUGE U2 fan.  I have been for as long as I can remember.  I have all the music, read all the books, watched all the concert DVD’s etc..

This past week I was lucky enough to go back home to Chicago and see U2 play Soldier’s Field.  HOLY COW what a show.  I could go  on and on about the stage, the sounds, the video, the technology that is responsible for putting on the show, the band itself….but instead I am going to focus on something that transcends the concert.  PASSION

Watching Bono perform you can tell that he is really into the music, the crowd and the show.  The same can be said for the rest of the band.  Watching Larry Mullen Jr. play the drums, knowing that his back is killing him and his arms are like stone but still giving everything he has during the song is inspiring. But where the passion really comes through is when Bono ties one of the songs to a cause.  You will notice if you watch that his singing, his actions everything takes on a higher purpose.  Everything is done with much more authority.  He is putting much more into it.  You have to admire the man for that.  For caring enough about humanity, for people who are being mistreated, for the poor and the infirmed who can’t help themselves and it shows through in his music.  Listening to him talk  is like listening to the most charismatic person you have ever heard.  His words just resonate with you, they make sense, and they galvanize you and the people around you into wanting to do something…wanting to make a difference…wanting to help someone or do something for someone who can’t help or do for themselves…..

For that I am and will always be a Huge fan of not only the band, but of Bono the human being. His Passion is contagious !!

Find your passion and live your life expressing that passion…and watch the others around you join in because they want some of what you have….

Have an EPIC day !!!
